Simon Messingham Profile

I am returning to acting after a long break. My previous television credits include the BBC's 'Tales of Uplift and Moral Improvement with Rik Mayall' and 'This is Dom Joly'.
I have considerable stage experience with over ten years as one half of sketch comedy duo 'Kirk & Messingham', and multiple theatrical tours of the UK.

My recent work includes some award winning short films and local professional shows including 'The Ealing Inheritance' at the Rialto Theatre in Brighton, and a Sussex tour of 'Liz & Jessie's Undiscovered Country' in 2022. As a founding member of comedy outfit The Future Comedy Unit, I have a short film 'Ostrich Suit' doing the festival rounds in 2024, and an upcoming ten thirty minutes audio comedies to be available from the FuCU website.
In the past I have specialised as a comedy actor, but I also have considerable drama experience, including a tour of Macbeth in 2013.
