Shannel Russell Profile

Greetings my name is Shannel Russell. During acting class in high school, when I memorized my lines quickly and performed in front of the class, I learned entertaining others is my natural gift. I have my college degree at
LaGuardia community college, majoring in theater. I became a dancer at the age of ten and continue to keep my body in shape. I went to Harlem School Of The Arts for african, modern, hip hop and ballet dance, The Bronx Dance theater for jazz, and Starlight Dance Company for salsa! I have two beautiful daughters and being a mother is such a wonderful experience knowing, I can surely relate to characters in which they have children of their own. I find ways to understand the character while auditioning for movies. Listening to music and eye contact are the two strategies that are very beneficial connecting with the character(s). I put my heart and soul while performing. I performed in several of movies and won an award for best supporting actress!
