Santou Carter Profile

Actor, classically trained lyric soprano (A3–A5), jazz singer and voiceover artist with stage and screen experience. I bring warmth, emotional depth, vocal presence and strong comedic instincts and timing to dramatic and comic roles.

My singing experience includes paid choral work, solo performance and one-voice-per-part ensemble singing in the UK and Canada. My vocal background enriches my approach to character, text, vocal colour and phrasing. I am comfortable in acting-only roles and those involving singing.

I am also a multi-award-winning registered psychotherapist with experience in grief, trauma, relationships and spiritual care, including former work as a healthcare chaplain. This informs my portrayal of counsellors, chaplains and other psychologically complex characters. I also offer clinical script consultation and actor preparation for mental health-related film and television scenes.

I hold UK and Canadian passports which entitles me to work in both countries.
