Samantha Colwell-Castles Profile

Born in England and now residing in Bruce County Ontario, I trained as an actor in Vancouver, BC at Gastown Actor’s Studio, Actor’s Working Academy and Actor’s Film Factory. I have performed as a lead in many professional theatre productions including Sexy Laundry by Rimi, A Red Plaid Shirt by Wilmot, Nunsense by Goggin, The Ladies Foursome by Norm Foster, Smarty Pants by Hoffman and Sparks, Rabbit Hole by Lindsay-Abaire, and Shirley Valentine by Russell. I have performed as a lead for two independent films If Dogs Run Free with Pretty Crazy Pictures and The Christmas Tree with Roxy Presents Productions.

I am a first-time playwright who found a creative outlet during the COVID-19 pandemic in writing my first play You, Me, and a Bit of Driftwood, a comedic drama about a couple navigating their relationship, personal challenges, and family dynamics through the backdrop of the pandemic. The play premiered at The Roxy Theatre, Owen Sound in February 2023 with excellent reviews.
