About Me
My name is Roy Smiles. I am a playwright & singer-songwriter who acts occasionally. I've appeared in THE BILL, PEAK PRACTICE, BADGER, JUDGE JOHN DEED & many other TV shows. I was a regular cast member on the shows OPERATION GOOD GUYS and FRANK STUBBS PROMOTES. I played Itzhak Heller in Roman Polanski's Oscar winning movie THE PIANIST. I have had 27 plays staged in the UK, US, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia and Sweden. Two of my plays YING TONG (about Spike Milligan) and KURT & SID (about Kurt Cobain) reached the West End. I have released eight albums of self penned songs.
