About Me
I am an actor, musician, singer, storyteller and tap dancer.
I play the banjo, mandolin, ukulele, guitar, bagpipes & 12 other
instruments. My show, “The Spirit of Vaudeville” won the Best Concert
Award at the United Solo Theater Festival in NYC. Richard was featured
on the premier episode of the PBS Television Series "Shining Time
Station". I received critical acclaim for his performance in "Lady Be
Good" at the Kennedy Center and the Goodspeed Opera House.
On Broadway Mr. Stillman played the Clerk of Oxford in "Canterbury
Tales", and understudied "Mummenschanz". Other productions include
"Take it From the Top" with Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, and "Hamlet" with
Rip Torn and Geraldine Page.
Richard also performs his own shows that combine original and traditional
folk music, storytelling and percussive dance. These include: "The Irish
Balladeer", "Pecos Bill Rides the Oregon Trail", "A World Mosaic of
Music and Dance" and ten others.
