Öncel is currently in Jamie Lloyd’s “The Tempest” starring Sigourney Weaver at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and has just finished performing in “Women Who Blow On Knots” at the Arcola Theatre.
He has received an OFFIE nomination with his castmates in the "Best Performance by an Ensemble" category with their performance in the three-hander "The House We Inherit".
He has also got nominated for the Spotlight Prize 2023 and performed a self-written piece as one of the finalists, after graduating from the East 15 Acting School.
