Norman Nickason Profile

I am someone who loves to perform and to take on challenging roles. I have recently been cast as Eddie, in Blood Brothers (the play version), in which I play the character of Eddies as a seve year old, 12 year old, 17-18 year old and a 27 year old. This requires me to alter my voice and manner to suit the ages.

I am 50 but can pass for much younger, with some people having guessed my age from 27-mid 30s. This mean that I could physically play roles of a range of ages.

I am also neurodivergent, having experienced an acquired brain injury in 1997, and I am also on the waiting list for an assessment as an adult with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. These characteristics are a fact of life for me and I have worked successfully as a mental health nurse and for the probation service despite them.

I was born in Canada, played rugby at school and have worked in diverse roles such as Officer Cadet in the Royal Navy, Front of House Staff at the Royal Theatre Northampton and labourer.
