Myla Taylor Platt Profile

I am currently training at Manchester School of Theatre on the BA Acting course. I have performed in professional pantomimes and, as a part of my drama Alevel, I played Joanne from ‘All the Little Lights’ in front of a large audience. Recently, I was cast in a campaign video for MMU, in which I worked alongside a professional director and production team. I attended Susie Earnshaw’s Theatre School for 8 years where I had musical theatre training. Additionally, on my course at MST I am still engaging in singing and movement lessons. At MST we are taught by and work with industry professionals (actors and directors) for scene studies and developing our skills. One of our teachers was the resident director of War Horse, so he has introduced us to puppetry principles. Aside from acting I am also a swimming teacher, making me adaptable around different people and personalities. Furthermore, I was a competitive swimmer for 7 years which helped train my stamina and ability to take direction.
