Mark Nelson Profile

I am a 56 year old male, based in Chester, Cheshire. Discovered acting only last year when I auditioned for the 2023 Chester Mystery Plays. Was given one of the major roles - Pontius Pilate. The plays were very well received and garnered 4 and 5 star reviews across local and national press. Since doing that I was encouraged to take acting further and enrolled in the North West End acting school in Chester. Here I have progressed from beginner to follow-on to professional class. Am working towards Spotlight accreditation. Have also done acting workshops with Reece Dinsdale in Leeds and recently had an open audition at the Liverpool Royal Court. I also write and have recently submitted two short plays to the INK festival for 2025. I have taken part in monologue evenings and written monologues for performance. Our acting classes are structured around theory and practice and I have received good feedback from professional actor guest tutors such as Ian Pulestone-Davies and Rob Jarvis.
