Marilyn Ann Bird Profile

I trained at Birmingham School of Acting and have a BA (Joint Hons) in French and German from The University of Nottingham. I have worked as an actor and voiceover artist for seventeen years. I have experience in stage, short and feature films, commercials, outdoor productions, immersive and interactive theatre, forum theatre, corporate roleplay and improvised theatre.

I am an award-nominated improviser. I regularly perform with "It's A Trap! The Improvised Star Wars Show" and improvised musical theatre troupe Rhymes Against Humanity. I am a director of MissImp, the longest-running, community-based improv company in the UK. I also teach improvised comedy.

I have a great ear for accents and character voices and am the voice of The Mouth Cancer Foundation.

I have a stage combat qualification (BASSC Fight Performance Test Rapier and Dagger and Unarmed Combat).

I am about to appear in a commercial for AGCO and am touring "It's a Trap!" around national fringe festivals.
