Lara Mechnig Profile

I am a former professional Olympic Synchronized Swimmer and am currently studying Acting and Stage Combat (BA) at East 15 Drama School.
Born and raised in Liechtenstein, I soon developed a passion for water and movement. When I was six years old I started to train as a Synchronized Swimmer, which allowed me to embrace both. The sport let me to live out my passion for creative movement and made me realized how much I love to perform. The sport took me all over the globe and after representing Liechtenstein at the Olympic Games 2021 in Tokyo, I retired from being a professional athlete.
My love for performing took me from the water to the stage. I decided to pursue a career as an actress. In 2022 I enrolled at East 15 to study Acting and Stage Combat. We are trained in various weapon systems, such as Rapier and Dagger, Broadsword, Quarterstaff, etc., as well as unarmed combat. We also receive training in Martial Arts (Kali) and Gymnastics along side tutoring in Acting, Voice and Singing.
