Kristin Oppenheim Mortenson Profile

I am a professional violinist with decades of experience as a performer on stage. Currently, I am a member of the Waco Symphony and Assistant Concertmaster of the Temple Symphony, and perform regularly as a substitute musician with the Fort Worth Symphony and Austin Opera. I am interested in expanding my work to include extra/background in film/commercial/TV, etc. Though I don't have much experience as an actor (unless you count middle school plays/musicals...I played the prince in The Prince & the Pauper in 7th grade), I am very comfortable in front of a camera and on stage, and I've recently done a couple of background spots in Walker, Season 3 (that sadly ended up on the cutting room floor). Finally, if you have need of a musician to "look the part" (we all know how bad it looks to have people faking playing musical instruments, poorly), I can play violin and viola at a professional level and can play enough cello to look like I know how to play. I also can play a wee bit of piano.
