Kitaka Profile

Unfortunately I do not have recent acting experience; however, I actively sought out opportunities to gain performance and directing experience. My first performance was being an extra in our school’s drama festival play when I was only 7 years old. I then auditioned to lead the next school play, which was the end of my audition era. Every time my drama teacher composed a play or any type of performance, I was his go-to student. I realised my passion for drama grew when the pandemic came along and all the drama and music activities in the country stopped for a while. During my 2-year IB diploma course, I volunteered in the acting and directing of our school’s annual play “MATILDA”. It was a nostalgic experience, and it felt like I was taking a breath of fresh air for the first time in a very long time. My drama teacher always referred to me as the school’s ‘Lupita Nyong’o. This made my heart melt as she is my role model and source of inspiration every day.
