Karen Curran Profile

I’m a retired teacher pursuing a second career as an actor, which has been a calling since childhood. I retired in 2020, and following lockdown have consistently trained at Second City and Proactors Lab. I’m available to work/rehearse on a daily basis. Establishing an acting career is a top priority. Recently, I appeared as hero talent in a Tim Hortons commercial, and as a recreation actor in How I Escaped My Cult. As a culmination to Acting 3 at Second City, I performed archived SCTV scripts in two live performances. I am a fit, athletic and active woman with multiple skills (volleyball, weight training, track and field, gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, swimming, hiking, roller/ice skating, rollerblading). I connect easily with children/adolescents as a natural and enthusiastic leader; and interact and collaborate comfortably and positively in social and work related situations. I have a natural love and affinity for acting, and I’m driven to succeed.
