Julia Sachi Mates Profile

I trained with a repertory company in musical theatre. During this time I did workshops with casting directors and a masterclass with Heather Headley. While studying dramatic writing, I continued to act in student films and cabarets in university. My writing background deepens my perspective in understanding character, particularly motivations and what one wants to conceal. Favorite techniques include Laban and clowning. Currently, I am developing a solo musical, Seized, about fighting acceptance of my epilepsy diagnosis.
