Josh Shortland Profile

I am a Southern UK actor who studied at Leeds Conservatoire. In my third year, I starred as Macduff in Macbeth at the Leeds Playhouse and Semyon Zakharovich Marmeladov in Crime and Punishment. I successfully came out of university represented by Aston Management who helped land me a job working for M&M Theatrical Productions for a year where I did such shows as Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast and Oliver Twist.

I began my career in musical theatre before honing my skills as an Actor at Read College in Reading before going on to join the Conservatoire. I believe I'm especially skilled in comedy and improvisation including children's theatre but my passions also lie in hard-hitting stories and gritty roles, such as when I played Bruce in a production of The Normal Heart.
