John W Knowles Profile

I trained as a theatre designer and was a creative director on major industry projects, then ran my own events for many years before returning to acting with 'Come Into My Parlour', The Butcher Boys, the Brothers Uchenko, I have performed with The Widgeon Theatre as the narrator in the Grit of Life and have for many years done extra work and been Father Christmas for Lapland Ul and Father Christmas World. I now create and perform in my own shows including 'The Penny Pinchers Christmas Carol' which has been running for seven years and 'Hitleria Pizzeria' and 'Toby Belch is Unwell'. I am a natural comic, great with live audiences and can think fast on my feet, For several years I did walk abouts for Glastonbury festival and other outdoor events. Lastly for five years I was a member of the Mercatoria Theatre performing outdoor promenade Shakespeare productions: All's Well that Ends Well (King John), Twelfth Night (Toby Belch), A Midsummer Nights Dream (Bottom).
