About Me
My name's John, and after loving acting at school / university, I qualified and worked as a Lawyer from 2008 to 2016. I've then been acting professionally full time since September 2016, during which time I've focused mainly on screen, having worked on over 180 sets of varying sizes, including 20 speaking roles on television opposite some of the country's biggest stars.
I've appeared alongside Suranne Jones ('Gentleman Jack'), Samuel West ('All Creatures Great and Small'), Sarah Lancashire ('Happy Valley'), Gemma Arteton ('Funny Woman'), Siobhan Finneran ('The Other One') and also in 'Brassic', 'Last Tango In Halifax', 'Coronation Street' and many more. I've also recently worked on Netflix smash hits 'Fool Me Once' and 'One Day'.
I have performed in many challenging dramatic roles, but am hoping to do more 'Everyman' / comedic style roles this year.
My favourite things about the profession are the variety of work, the collaborations I get to enjoy and the people I meet.
