John Sherar Profile

I am 37 years old, born, raised and still living in Ottawa, Ontario. Grew up playing many sports, mainly baseball and curling, but also swimming, soccer, hockey, basketball, track and field and rugby. I've curled at a high level for most of my life against some of the best players in the world. I recently started working as a background extra in productions filmed locally around Ottawa. Since May 2025 i have been on 11 film sets and 1 music video set. I graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor of arts degree in music, minor in film in 2012. I like music, playing guitar, and going to concerts and festivals. I am an introverted extrovert, very outgoing, willing to try anything once and thrive in situations that are out of my comfort zone. I am a bit of a thrill seeker and, though i haven't yet, would love to try skydiving and bungee jumping. I enjoy camping and being outdoors. When I was younger I participated in scouts and was a patrol leader.
