Great Grottos hire & train hundreds of Santas & Elves & Grotto Managers each year to perform in our magical Christmas Grottos and handout gifts to children.

Our Grotto Managers are responsible for the day to day running of their Grotto.
The goal of Grotto is to provide a unique and memorable visit for every family, and to sell souvenir Santa photos.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Opening & closing the Grotto
2. Ensuring Grotto visits are to a high standard
3. Ensuring the Grotto keeps up with bookings
4. Reporting staff attendance to Head Office
5. Ensuring staff are correctly dressed
6. Keeping the Grotto tidy
7. Cashing up & banking daily
8. Keeping the store room tidy
9. Co-operating with the Shopping Centre Management – they are our client

Training:
All staff receive a day’s training day at the Grotto. You will meet the team, become familiar with every aspect of the Grotto and store room. Training is paid at your hourly rate.

We will typically hire 4 Santas and 7 Elves to fill the rota at one of our Grottos. They need your support throughout the season.

Presents:
Five labelled sacks sit around our Santas. Each contains a different age group of present. The sacks need filling daily.

Photo souvenirs:
We take two photos of every family. You must show every family their photo at the counter after they meet Santa.

Costumes:
We provide staff with individual costumes. These must remain on site.
Staff will occasionally require your helpful input into the presentation of their costume in order to maintain standards.

Customers:
If you receive a complaint, you may within reason do as you wish to rectify. However, our Customer Service dept. will contact any challenging customers.

Staff Recruitment:
Great Grotto recruit, contract, train and pay all staff. However, you may be sent trial Elves during the season, so that we may receive your feedback on whether to hire. They would then require your assistance to learn their role.

Support:
You can call Great Grottos at any time for assistance. You also receive the Managing Director’s direct number. He is always supportive and available for you.
We require our Grotto Manager’s to be contactable via phone at all times.

Appearance:
• You may wear an Elf Costume or smart Manager’s attire.
• No visible facial piercings or tattoos.
