However, when they bring in an injured soldier, they soon realize that the real challenge may not lie in evading external threats, but in dealing with what they have inadvertently welcomed inside.

ADHD and autistic, she has spent much of her life being treated like the problem rather than understood. Never underestimate her. When threatened, she has the tenacity of a honey badger. Maya is fiercely loyal, protective and deeply team-minded; once someone becomes part of her tribe, she will stand beside them to the bitter end. She doesn’t want status or control — she wants belonging, safety and people she can trust.
