Events Paparazzi is looking for a charismatic male actor or presenter to take on the role of a fictional TV news reporter at a prominent event launch in Manchester on the evening of Thursday, 17 September 2026. This role will involve a two-hour performance at a grand production/launch event for a global gaming company, attended by influencers and supported by a photography and video crew.

Partnering with a camera operator, you will be responsible for leading impromptu and entertaining guest interviews. The style we're seeking is warm, witty, and engaging, drawing inspiration from Troy Hawke’s YouTube interactions for a polite, playful approach, rather than direct imitation. Essential skills include strong improvisation, quick thinking, and an ability to read guests effectively.

Candidates must be comfortable on camera and consent to their footage being used in promotional and social media content. There may be opportunities for ongoing work. We are seeking a confident male actor or presenter with strong improvisational skills who can take the lead without relying entirely on a script. Some suggested questions and event information will be provided, but you must be able to develop conversations naturally, respond quickly and create entertaining moments for the camera.

The desired approach is warm, witty, polished and gently intrusive. Troy Hawke’s public interactions are a reference for the tone, not a character to impersonate or copy. You must bring your own personality and performance style.

The event will include guests of different ages and confidence levels, so you must read people well and adjust your approach accordingly. The interaction should remain welcoming and amusing, never forceful or embarrassing.
