Sakura Productions is producing a short promotional film for the Retired Police Officers Association Scotland (RPOAS), focusing on its Welfare & Wellbeing Service.
The film follows Tracy, who was involved in establishing the RPOAS Signposter service and later found herself needing that support when her husband, a serving police officer, was diagnosed with cancer.
Through her story, the film explores the importance of having someone to talk to, the support available to officers and their families, and the difference that simply knowing someone is there can make.
We're looking for a natural, warm and emotionally grounded performance. The subject matter is serious at times, but the overall message is positive and reassuring. The performance should feel genuine and conversational rather than overly theatrical.
A natural Scottish accent is preferred, ideally from an actor based in Scotland.
The finished film will be professionally produced and used by RPOAS across its website, social media and wider promotional and communications channels.

Tracy is a member of RPOAS who became involved in establishing the organisation's Welfare & Wellbeing Service and its team of Signposters.
Her story takes an unexpected turn when her husband, a serving police officer, is diagnosed with cancer. As his partner and carer, Tracy finds herself needing the very support she helped make available to others.
The role explores vulnerability, resilience and the importance of having someone outside your immediate circle who is there to listen. Tracy's experience is ultimately one of reassurance and hope, showing how the right support can make a real difference during difficult circumstances.
We're looking for an actor who can deliver the role with warmth, sincerity and emotional honesty. The performance should be natural and understated, as though Tracy is sharing a personal experience rather than delivering a scripted speech.
Scottish accent preferred, ideally from Scotland.
Professional acting experience is preferred, but we're happy to consider the right person.
