Hey everyone! I am directing and producing a new comedy called "Robert's Wife Just Died" for the Camden Fringe this August. We are aiming to perform at a venue in London with provisional dates for August 17-20th at 9pm. Rehearsals will take place for at least 7 days, running 4 to 5 hours a day starting from August 1st.
The story follows Maya, a woman who was suddenly dumped by her fiancé the night before. Devastated and hiding under her duvet, her chaotic morning is governed by her surprisingly opinionated AI Robot and a pair of eccentric, well-meaning neighbours celebrating their anniversary. It is a witty, bittersweet comedy about heartbreak, validation, and finding unexpected community.
I am currently casting two roles. I need one male actor aged 40 plus to play a gay character, and one female or non-binary actor for the role of the AI Robot.
This is a profit share production as there is no upfront budget for rehearsals or production costs, though I will fully cover your travel expenses for the rehearsal days.
Please drop me a direct message if you are interested or want to see the script! Only for professional actors. - Dates
