I'm updating my acting showreel with a new scene, to be filmed in South London towards the end of July, in collaboration with an excellent cinematographer. I am seeking one actor for the role.

Scene Details:

This is a 1.5-minute drama scene that unfolds mostly inside a parked car. Sarah, a compassionate and understanding friend, provides support to Kerry (my role), a mother silently coping with her child's eating disorder. The scene is intimate and naturalistic, centered on dialogue, and explores themes of friendship, empathy, and the challenges of assisting a loved one in need.

Sarah (Woman or non-binary, playing age 40s–50s, any British accent- ideally regional)

Sarah is the kind of friend who instinctively knows when someone needs support. Calm, grounded and emotionally intelligent, she listens without judgement and offers reassurance without trying to fix everything. She has a quiet warmth and a gentle sense of humour that helps others feel safe.

In this scene, Sarah is sitting with her close friend Kerry, who is struggling with the emotional toll of her child's eating disorder. Rather than delivering dramatic speeches, Sarah's strength lies in her presence knowing when to speak, when to stay silent, and how to gently encourage someone to open up.

This is a subtle, naturalistic role that requires strong listening skills and understated emotional truth.
