● Gender: Male
● Age: 40s+
● Description:
A miserly, cold-hearted businessman who undergoes a transformative
journey. Must convey deep emotional shifts—from bitter and isolated to joyful

Dick’s scenes are lighter and more nostalgic. Strong emotional range.
Cockney/RP accents required.

3. Young Scrooge / Fred
● Gender: Male
● Age: 20s
● Description:
Young Scrooge: A portrayal of Scrooge in his youth, showing the events that
shaped him from a youthful, imaginative and kind young man, to becoming

Scrooge’s cynicism while embodying warmth and joy. He holds the spirit of
Christmas and has youthful energy.

● Gender: Male
● Age: 30s+
● Description:
Marley: An imposing, terrifying ghost of Scrooge’s past. His miserly business
partner.

generosity and wisdom. Must deliver powerful monologues with gravitas.
Fezziwig: Scrooge’s jolly former employer. Requires a boisterous,
larger-than-life personality.

● Notes:
The actor should be comfortable with holding the Future ghost puppet for a
long period of time.

Ghost of Christmas Past: Ethereal, mysterious, and emotionally complex.
