Casting call for "Say My Name," a short cinematic film exploring a woman's journey through systems that define, question, and label her without truly acknowledging her as a person.
Synopsis: A woman rushes to a job interview, arriving late. During the interview, the interviewer criticizes her lateness and struggles to pronounce her name correctly, sparking an intense emotional response. As the camera focuses on her, a flood of thoughts and memories ensue. She shuts her eyes and imagines herself at Hopscotch, where a caretaker asks how to pronounce her name. In that moment, she feels truly recognized.
