This is a very minimal short film and, as such, there will be no dialogue. However, you are welcome to submit an audition tape of any monologue, scene, or acting piece of your choice that showcases your performance.

Project Synopsis
A young wife is tasked by her husband with cracking open unripe walnuts. As the days pass, the task becomes increasingly demanding, taking a toll on her physically and emotionally. Luckily, one of the days a woman she recognizes arrives at her door.
Additional Information & Safety Protocols:
All scenes are shot indoors in a studio or house space, with only one exterior scene (the closing scene).

This short film will be screened in the student section of the FEST Film Festival in Espinho, Portugal in late June 2026, providing valuable exposure for cast and crew. Participants will also be able to include their involvement with a FEST-screened production on their résumé/portfolio.

Meals and on-set refreshments will be provided during filming.
