Crime and Punishment

Type
Theatre
Location

Content
We are a new Theatre Company putting on a tight new three hander version of Crime and Punishment at the Jack Studio Theatre in Brockley. This will require strong actors who can bring real gravitas and also have the ability to multi role.

The play follows Raskolnikov's journey from ideological conviction through murder to confession, told through three performers who share the entire world between them. Time fractures, scenes bleed into one another, and the boundaries between characters blur. The script interweaves Dostoevsky's language with new writing — the architecture is faithful to the novel's moral and emotional weight, but the theatrical form is entirely original.

Because this is a small company and will lean a lot on all three cast members to create the best show possible, we want down to earth people who are ready to be as serious or silly as the moment requires.

This is a paid role: actors will be paid £100 for rehearsal days and £50 per show. This can be discussed further
