Casting for "Permanent Skull," a short film ranging from 35 to 45 minutes, created by Farzin Mohammadi, who is responsible for the writing, directing, and producing. This film is a thesis project for San Diego State University and is now in the pre-production phase.

Premise: Ana, a geology instructor and mapmaker, stumbles upon ancient human remains, which include an invisible yet perceptible skull, buried in the mysterious Black Earth. Her quest to uncover the skull's origins leads her to forge a deep bond with the living earth itself.

38-year-old cartographer. Geology professor. Middle Eastern American. Single. Intuitive. Sensitive. Sexually inactive. Modest in demeanor, grand in self-perception. Socially uncomplicated, professionally obsessive, and complicated. Composed yet inwardly turbulent. Active masculine and feminine sides. She is an idealist, she wants to be an updated version of Jesus - the first overman, or transcendent human. She is a child.

One scene involves partial, non-sexual nudity. The character’s body is largely covered by soil; only a brief glimpse of the rear is visible. The moment is short and abstract, with the body mostly concealed and never fully exposed.

The second scene is a distant, long shot in a wooded environment. The character undresses, implying full nudity, but due to the distance, framing, and natural cover of bushes and trees, no explicit details or body parts are visible on screen. The audience is only aware that the character is naked; nothing graphic is shown.

Both scenes will be filmed on a closed set with only the essential crew present. Performers are welcome to bring a support person if they wish. The scenes will be carefully choreographed, discussed in advance, and approached with sensitivity and respect for the actor’s boundaries.
