The is a railways station at Alderley Edge if you don't have transport of your own.

Background
---------------

This is a documentary about Alderley Edge, a National Trust property, south of Manchester.
it is very much a private project, not for profit nor for a commercial contract.

The content of this documentary will involve :
(a) The Wizard of Alderley and other stories
(b) The copper mining history of Alderley Edge
(c) Interesting locations around "The Edge"

This presentation is to complete part(b) and part(c).

As this not a commercial project, National Trust has granted permission to record, with the obvious caveats regarding the privacy and enjoyment of others and so we will adopt a minimalist approach to the use of equipment.
Probably we can produce the required footage and audio with only two , maybe just one, crew .

Presenter

I am looking for one person who ( preferably ) has some acting / presenting experience and is interested in local history, myth and English heritage.
Enthusiasm and good vocal tone are essential.
It is a rocky area, sometimes muddy - don't apply if this bothers you or you're not physically fit.

Essential scripts are completed, but there will need to be some improvisation on the day.

Ages : Open to any age group.

Dates :
Likely to be two / three days in late summer ..... September - October ( weekdays preferable ) 2026
Flexibility will be needed due to weather and other factors.
Alderley Edge is very popular with dogs and youngsters and this can require patience with regard to sound recording.

Distribution :
Part 2 is likely to be a 10 minute video.
The final video be going on the following outlets :
