My name is Joanne Barton, and I’m a 19-year-old actor based in London. Originally from Leicester, I began my journey in drama at English Martyrs Catholic School, continuing my studies through A-levels, where I developed a strong foundation in performance. Following that, I trained at Urban Young Actors Drama School, where I honed my skills in improvisation, line memorisation, and character development.
In 2023, I had the exciting opportunity to work as a stunt double on Sherwood 2, where I originally started as an extra through LucasExtras. This experience allowed me to gain valuable screen experience and broaden my understanding of the industry.
Currently, I am training in the BA Acting and Performance course at LMA London, further refining my craft. While I have been focusing on developing my stage skills, I am eager to expand into screen acting and am actively seeking opportunities to gain more experience in this area aswell as theatre work.
