About Me

James is a classically trained baritone based in London with experience in Opera, Musical Theatre, TV and Film. His rich voice, strong energy onstage and character acting has made him in demand for leads in Gilbert & Sullivan operetta's and Mozart Opera's. Although he shines on an opera stage, James demonstrates versatility within other genres including Musical Theatre. He was very recently a vocal soloist in the Thursford Christmas Spectacular.

Also in 2023, James joined the company of L’elisir d’amore for Longborough Festival Opera, with whom he previously covered and performed the role of Moralès as well as the role of Lillas Pastia in Carmen. He also toured The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado in The Mikado, Captain Corcoron in HMS Pinafore and Private Willis in Iolanthe alongside his all-time favourite, Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

James enjoys practicing additional skills that he can offer up to directors, such as stilt walking and puppetry.
