Iona Rogan Profile

After studying Drama at both GCSE and A Level, alongside completion of my LAMDA examinations, I started study at the Cambridge with slightly ulterior motives of joining their world-renowned student theatre scene. As per https://www.camdram.net/people/iona-rogan , I established myself as a prolific member of the performing community, alongside being elected to numerous positions of responsibility, including Artistic Director, and later President, of the Heywood Society, and Actors' Rep for the CUADC. Whilst perfectly happy playing the clown, I did find myself typecast in comedic roles, such as my multirole as the fool Touchstone with the melancholy Jacques in As You Like It at the Fitzwilliam Museum, funded by the Arts Council, and as Buttons in the 2021 Cambridge Footlights Pantomime: Rapunzel. I was at my most challenged when breaking free of this, such as the beleaguered Joyce in Top Girls at the ADC, and the eponymous Mrs Arbuthnot in A Woman of No Importance UCATT radioplay.
