Edward Derbyshire Profile

I have worked with a number of high profile organisations and programmes, including the National Theatre Connections programme, with performances by his theatre company given at the Bristol Old Vic, the Tobacco Factory Theatre, the Arcola Theatre and the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham. More unusual venues have been an airport runway and a school playground. During my acting career, I have played a wide range of roles, including Gooper in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Malcolm in Macbeth, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Don John in Much Ado about Nothing, Dr Jenner in a new play, Pox, and the Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Porter in HMS Pinafore. I also have a solo performance career, and have appeared in regional theatres, concert halls, libraries and other performance spaces. I have performed for a number of years at the Three Choirs Festival and have worked with the Cheltenham Music Festival, and local care homes and agencies. I run a dementia choir. I regularly perform role play for medical schools.
