Desmond Gallagher Profile

I am a singer-songwriter from Northern Ireland who plays 12 string acoustic guitar. I study music business and songwriting at BIMM University in Manchester, and I am going into my third and final year of my studies. I previously took drama for GCSE and I have always been interested in acting. I was torn between choosing film or music for my university degree but decided to go with music. I have several friends who are actors at university and I am always the first one to offer to help them to learn their lines and prepare for any roles that they may get. As a performer myself, I write my own songs and enjoy stepping into a character when I am on stage to bring my songs to life.
