About Me

Cora Venus Lunny was born in 1982 in Dublin, Ireland, and has worked in the performing arts since childhood, mainly focusing on music, with their first film role in Rawhead Rex (1986).

Cora is a freelance improvising and composing musician with decades of professional experience in contemporary classical, improvised, recorded and folk music.

Cora's screen translatable skills include driving, horse riding, archery, playing musical instruments, shooting firearms and genderbending

As an actor Cora has appeared in a variety of productions, most recently appearing in the Abbey Theatre's production of Patrick Kavanagh's The Great Hunger. Since 2023 Cora has been developing an Opera for improvising players with the support of the Arts Council of Ireland.

Cora came out as non binary/ genderfluid in 2020, was diagnosed with ADHD aged 40, is an intersectional feminist, and is an enthusiastic supporter of inclusivity in the arts.
