Charles Humphreys Profile

Charles Humphreys is a working-class Animator, Actor, and Production Designer who explores character & form through his D.I.Y. artwork processes. As part of the indie collective, Idle Work Factory - Charles places Northern narratives at the forefront of his work for a fresh take on traditional animation. On screen, Charles has acted in major productions including Working Title (CC:Emily), Warp Films (Reunion), The BFI, CALM x New Order, and appeared on BBC One’s Reunion , ITV’s Emmerdale, and Channel 4’s Iris Prize winning ‘Keep Off The Grass’. As well as performing in renowned The Stage recognised theatre prices such as Cashy C’s: The Musical as well as ‘Bloods Thicker’ a youth led play - commissioned into a film around Knife crime.
