Brent Van Der Merwe Profile

London and West Sussex-based actor (6'2", playing age 25-35) with a strong, reliable screen presence and a natural Standard English voice. I'm most often cast as capable authority figures and grounded professionals: police, military, security, teachers and managers, as well as blue-collar roles. My style is restrained and naturalistic, suited to TV drama, thrillers, procedurals and commercials. Fluent in Standard American and South African accents.

Recent screen work includes the Probation Officer in Behind A Wall (CFI, 2025) and leads in the short films Embers (2025) and After Hours (2024). Trained at London South Bank University (BA Hons Drama and Performance). Skills include horse riding, scuba diving, golf, cycling and gymnastics, and I'm a qualified teacher and mathematician.
