About Me
Arran R. Hawkins is an actor, director, writer from Cornwall.
He directed the acclaimed one-woman show ‘Black Is The Color Of My Voice’ in Shanghai, which toured to New York, Florida, Seattle, Barbados, Edinburgh Fringe (2014/2015) and has extensively toured the UK ever since.
He established Theatre Anon in Shanghai (2013) and Hawk & Hill Theatre in Berlin (2019). His family show Lost In The Woods has performed at Edinburgh Fringe for the last 3 years (2023, 24, 25) and his new show After The Service: Tales of Love & Loss debuted at the festival this year (2025).
He has appeared in dozens of professional theatrical productions including Laughing Gas (O-Region); King Lear, Private Lives (Shanghai Repertory Theatre); Dangerous Liasions, Betrayal (Theatre Anon); as well as adapting/directing OZ, The Snow Queen and The Little Prince. Film credits include Shanghai Story (Joan Chen dir), Shanghai Calling (Daniel Hsia dir), Palace of the Damned (Antony Szeto dir).
He is also a VO artist.
