Anese Jade Profile

Anese Henesley, an Oakland native and OFASS alumni, embraces creativity across multiple artistic mediums. With a deep commitment to education, she views creativity as a powerful tool for liberation. Anese believes in the healing power of community and art, working to create spaces of safety and care. For the past four years, she has devoted herself to the childcare and education fields, striving to inspire and uplift the next generation through her work.

Now, Anese is overjoyed to make her stage debut as Cinderella with the African American Shakespeare Company. This iconic story holds a special place in her heart, having influenced her deeply throughout her childhood. In this role, she hopes to embody the princess that resides within each of us and to connect with audiences through a shared journey of hope, transformation, and inner strength.
