Alia Yakupova Profile

I am a professionally theatre trained actor (Moscow Theatre School) with a career that bridges large-scale theatre and the vibrant independent UK scene. Before relocating to the UK, I built a strong foundation performing in major theatrical productions (Antigone - Lead) in my home country (Russia), which instilled in me a deep discipline and a command of the stage.

Since moving, I have fully immersed myself in the UK industry, successfully transitioning to screen with four short films, playing the lead in all of them, and several Fringe theatre productions, including a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2025). These experiences have sharpened my ability to work in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments and have helped me build a reputation as a versatile and resilient performer.

Movement & Combat: Trained in Stage Combat, bringing physicality and safety to action-oriented roles.

Musicality: A capable singer and dancer, comfortable with movement-based storytelling.
