About Me
I'm a Shiraz-bon Iranian-Canadian actor, writer, director, and musician based in Toronto. My creative journey is rooted in my desire to combine Eastern and Western storytelling traditions, crafting experiences that feel both innovative and human. I'm passionate about shedding light on essential yet less accessible themes and tales that remain untold.
During my time at TMU, I had training under Marianne McIsaac, Cynthia Ashperger, Tim Welham, Cole Lewis, Lisa Cox, Jennifer Wigmore, Laura Nordin, and others. On stage, I've performed roles like the Duke of Clarence in Richard III (directed by Tim Welham), dual roles of Lancaster and the Gaoler in Edward II under Alistair Newton, and a transformative experience in Andrew Kushnir's verbatim play The Division at Tarragon Theatre as five very real people. Along the way, I've trained in stage combat, intimacy. coordination, clown, bouffon, voiceover, and motion capture, with mentors like Siobhan Richardson and Adam Lazarus.
