Alexsis Matthews Profile

I first started theatre. Through the Shakespeares school festival as a Narrator in Hamlet. This experience, inspired the start of my interest within the stage and performance world. Heading further into my school career. I landed the role of Puck for A mid summer nights dream, before heading college to focus on dance and performing arts. Here I became a costume designer and dance captain in Aladdin, whilst having the chance to play Kassim on stage. These skills developed allowing me to be head choreographer for Chicago where I played Liz. Creating this choreography for the show helped me come to terms with where I wanted to take the arts, and I enjoyed teaching and creating the most for this process Leading me to want to become a dance teacher or choreographer. My most recent performances have been beauty and the beast and a showcase by showdown theatre arts under showdown management, where I e been able to develop these skills further.
