Abigail Townson Profile

I'm a British voiceover artist and actress based in Portugal.


My voiceovers are very flexible and luckily I get to choose my own hours, working from home in my own studio booth but I'm always looking out for something that gets me out of the studio box, therefore when I came across this job posting, it really caught my eye as it is still relative to my creative world:)


My acting training and background - In 2005 I moved to London to study acting where I gained a 1-year foundation course diploma and then onto Theatre Training Company to do a 2-year professional acting course, gaining a diploma and graduating in 2008.


Since then, I have worked in such places as the London Dungeon as a scare actor and touring pantomime. In 2012 I moved back to the Algarve and pursued a career in voice overs/voice acting and a variety of accents.

In autumn 2019, I landed a dream role as Dorothy Gale in The Algarveans Experimental Theatre groups' musical theatre production of Wizard of Oz.
